Viral Videos Of Indian Journalists Reporting That Bihar NDA Leaders Funded Pakistan’s PTI Are Doctored

Three videos circulating on social media purport to show well-known Indian journalists claiming that senior leaders of the Bihar National Democratic Alliance (NDA), including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Samrat Choudhary, and Vijay Kumar Sinha, are being investigated for providing financial support to Pakistan’s political party, the PTI. However, an investigation by Newschecker indicates that these videos have been manipulated.

The first video features what appears to be independent journalist Ravish Kumar discussing alleged financial ties between Bihar NDA leaders and the PTI during the state elections. A review of Kumar’s official YouTube channel found no evidence supporting the claims made in the video. Background checks identified the clip’s actual context as a report from November 20, 2025, focused on the Bihar government’s oath-taking ceremony.

Similarly, the second video falsely attributes statements to Palki Sharma, managing editor at Firstpost, regarding the investigation of Bihar leaders. The official Firstpost sources contain no reference to such a claim. Instead, the video appears to originate from a report dated November 15, 2025, unrelated to the allegations.

The third clip supposedly shows Shiv Aroor, managing editor of NDTV, making similar claims. Investigations revealed no such statements on NDTV’s platforms, and the video shows signs of manipulation.

All three videos were flagged by AI detection tools as likely being deepfakes.
