NEW DELHI: On Thursday, a heated confrontation occurred among pantry assistants at Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station on platform 7, which escalated into a physical altercation involving the Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express. The incident was recorded on video and later circulated on social media.

Following the incident, the police registered a case under Section 194 (affray) of the Indian Penal Code. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) took four employees into custody for investigation. Their identity cards have been deactivated and they have been removed from duty. A show cause notice was issued to the service provider for potential contract termination, alongside a penalty of 500,000 rupees.

The incident can be seen in the viral video, where one staff member is observed hitting another with a dustbin while other employees attempt to intervene.
