Currently, viewers can access previously streamed content by navigating to the Videos section of a streamer’s profile, but this upcoming change aims to streamline the process of catching up on missed segments.
The rewind functionality will initially be available on the web platform and will be limited to Twitch Turbo subscribers and those who have subscribed to specific channels. This restricted rollout is intended to prevent potential misuse of the feature as a means to bypass advertisements, according to CEO Dan Clancy during a recent livestream. Future plans include expanding this feature to all users and developing a mobile version.
