At the IFA event in Berlin, a range of autonomous lawnmowers was presented, with one notably featuring a robotic arm. The Master X Series Concept, launched by NexLawn—a sub-brand of MOVA under the Dreame parent company—is claimed to be the first robotic mower equipped with a fully operational mechanical arm.

This arm is designed to alleviate some of the manual maintenance necessary for robotic lawnmowers, such as gathering fallen sticks or other debris that could impede operation or cause damage. The arm can retract to 44.5 cm (about 17.5 inches) and extend up to 77 cm (just over 30 inches), with a reach of up to one meter for outdoor tasks. NexLawn has indicated that the arm will come with various interchangeable attachments, including a multi-gripper, trimmer head, and edging disc head, with additional options reportedly in development.

According to NexLawn, the Master X Series Concept can perform various tasks, including trimming, weeding, fruit picking, and interacting with pets. A promotional video illustrates the mower throwing a ball for a dog, raising questions about how such a non-human-looking device would be received by pets.

The term “Concept” in the product name suggests that this is not a ready-for-market consumer item at this time; however, concept products can sometimes become commercially viable. NexLawn has not provided information regarding pricing or a timeline for release, meaning that any consumer availability may still be some time away.
