Dangbei is set to showcase its S7 Ultra Max all-in-one projector at the upcoming IFA tech show in Berlin, signaling a potential global launch for a device that has been available only in China. This projector offers a 4K resolution and is advertised with an exceptionally bright output of 6,200 ISO lumens.
The company’s promotional material highlights features of the S7 Ultra Max, including 48 RGB laser units, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+, which are said to enhance visual quality significantly. However, when the projector was first announced in China in July, it was previously rated at “5800 CVIA lumens.” This measurement, derived from a less stringent methodology, typically results in higher brightness claims compared to the recognized ISO and ANSI standards, raising questions about the validity of the 6,200 ISO lumens assertion.
The projector is equipped with liquid cooling technology to manage heat, maintaining a noise level of approximately 24 dB. It features dual 15W speakers, an 8000:1 native contrast ratio, and an optical zoom range of 0.98 to 1.6:1. Additionally, the design includes a swivel and rotate base to optimize image placement, along with automatic focus and keystone correction functionalities.
The projected price of the Dangbei S7 Ultra Max is approximately 15,999 yuan, equivalent to about $2,250. As the device prepares for its international debut, it remains to be seen how the claims about its performance and specifications will hold up in practical assessments following the presentation in Berlin.
