The Minisforum AtomMan G1 Pro is a new mini-PC designed with a 3.8-liter tower form factor, featuring a desktop-grade Nvidia RTX 5060 GPU and a more advanced CPU than previous models. Priced at approximately $1,500, this device includes a range of modern connectivity options and integrations.
Minisforum is among the few companies providing powerful discrete GPUs in compact mini-PCs, and the AtomMan G1 Pro offers specifications that may rival Valve’s products. Compared to its predecessor, the AtomMan G7 PT, the G1 Pro incorporates an integrated power supply, which could enhance its performance.
A notable aspect of the G1 Pro is its compact desktop graphics card, which fits within the top of the chassis. While Minisforum does not claim that this card is upgradeable, it reportedly delivers the full 145W of power typical of other desktop RTX 5060 cards. In “Beast Mode,” the system can operate an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX CPU at 100W alongside the GPU at 145W, supporting demanding tasks.
The G1 Pro supports extensive storage and memory options, featuring two M.2 2280 slots for NVMe SSDs and two SO-DIMM slots that can accommodate up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM. It also provides multiple display outputs—two DisplayPort 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4, and two HDMI 2.1—allowing connections to up to four displays simultaneously.
Currently, the G1 Pro is available for purchase with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD for $1,440, with shipping expected in mid-January. A barebones model that allows users to provide their own RAM and storage is priced at $1,040 but is not yet available for order.
Valve has not yet disclosed pricing for its competing products, but it emphasizes improvements in cooling, noise management, and wireless connectivity. Additionally, Linux drivers are believed to be more developed for AMD GPUs, which may be a consideration for potential users interested in operating systems like Bazzite or SteamOS.
