The next iPhone Air has reportedly been delayed

Apple has decided not to proceed with the launch of a second-generation iPhone Air in the upcoming fall and has significantly reduced production of the first version, according to a report from The Information. The initial iPhone Air was introduced in September, but its market performance has not met expectations, prompting Apple to reassess its plans.

The company had intended to reveal a new iPhone Air next fall, which would have featured a lighter design and improved battery capacity compared to the current model. This anticipated version was also planned to include a vapor chamber cooling system, akin to the iPhone 17 Pro lineup.

With the cancellation of the second-generation iPhone Air, Apple’s lineup for fall 2026 is expected to consist of the iPhone 18 Pro and a foldable iPhone model, while the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18E models are slated for a spring 2027 release. However, sources indicated that Apple might consider launching a new iPhone Air as early as spring 2027.
