Lenovo spokesperson Jeff Witt announced that users will have the option to manually switch their handheld device to Xbox Full Screen Experience (FSE) in the spring of 2026. This update will be available several months after the launch of the Legion Go 2, which is expected next month. In contrast, Asus’s handheld devices, the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X, will support Xbox FSE much sooner, with a co-launch scheduled for October 16th in collaboration with Microsoft. Following this, Microsoft plans to extend Xbox FSE to the original Asus ROG Ally and Ally X devices. This timeline raises questions regarding user expectations for the Legion Go 2 and the competitive positioning between Lenovo and Asus in the handheld gaming market.
