Jeep’s upcoming all-electric vehicle, the Recon, is set to enter production in early 2026, with initial sales expected to take place in the United States and Canada. The battery is a 100 kWh, 400-volt unit designed to withstand rough terrains.
Off-road capabilities are enhanced by its suspension design and generous ground clearance, which is about 9.1 inches on standard tires. Notably, the Recon allows for the removal of doors without tools, setting it apart from other electric SUVs. The vehicle will also incorporate front and rear electric drive modules, improving efficiency in energy usage.
Inside, the Recon boasts modular components and a blend of technology, including a 12.3-inch driver display and a 14.5-inch central touchscreen. It is designed to optimize usability while providing ample cargo space. Although the launch was initially slated for 2024, supply chain factors contributed to the delay, raising questions about potential market competition and pricing strategies as the EV landscape continues to evolve.
