A new feature has been introduced that allows users to transfer playlists between various music services. This functionality is facilitated through a direct integration with TuneMyMusic, a service that enables the migration of playlists across platforms such as Tidal, YouTube Music, Qobuz, Beatport, and Napster. TuneMyMusic is one of several services, including Soundiiz and SongShift, which provide similar playlist transfer capabilities, with SongShift specifically supporting Apple Music’s import feature.
While users can utilize third-party services to move their playlists, these often come with limitations regarding the number of playlists and the duration of the features available in their free tiers. Opting to transfer playlists directly through services like Spotify and Apple allows users to access a premium experience that supports unlimited transfers, though this option currently only allows for a one-way transfer. The rollout of this playlist transfer feature is taking place globally within the Spotify mobile app.
