South Korean actress and K-pop star Nana fights off home intruder

South Korean actor and K-pop singer Nana, also known as Im Jin-ah, was involved in a home intrusion incident alongside her mother in Guri, South Korea, as reported by local media. A man in his 30s allegedly entered the property with a weapon, threatening both women.

According to Nana’s agency, the two were able to restrain the intruder until law enforcement arrived. During the altercation, Nana’s mother reportedly lost consciousness, and both women sought medical attention afterward, as conveyed by Yonhap news agency.

The local police stated through a detective speaking to AFP that the intruder was attempting to steal valuables when he threatened Nana and her mother, demanding money. After the incident, the two women contacted law enforcement for assistance. The suspect, who was also taken to the hospital for treatment, has been detained on charges of aggravated robbery.

Nana initially gained fame in 2009 as a member of the popular K-pop girl group After School, which is no longer active. Since then, she has established a successful career as an actress, starring in various television series such as “Kill It” and “Justice,” both of which premiered in 2019. Additionally, she released her first solo album in September.
