The explosion reportedly took place around 6:52 PM local time when a Hyundai i20 vehicle, which was carrying three occupants and had come to a stop at a traffic light, detonated. Witnesses indicated that the blast caused significant damage to surrounding vehicles.
In response to the alarming incident, Delhi police heightened security measures, extending alerts to neighboring states, including Uttar Pradesh, a region known for its dense population and landmarks such as the Taj Mahal.
