Police arrest suspects seen in viral video abusing two women

Ten individuals suspected of harassment and abuse of two young women in Dawuranpong, Central Region, have been arrested. The arrests were made by the Inspector General Police’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team, according to a police statement issued on Wednesday.

Among those arrested are three main suspects identified as Eric Donkor, also known as Killer Block, 32; Yaw Gyimah, 29; and Edmond Nartey, 24. They were seen in a viral video allegedly using a sharp razor to cut the women’s scalps. Another suspect, Tawiah Awaga, who was also captured in the video, remains at large.

The group arrested additionally includes Steven Amu, 24; Farouk Balas, 18; Mensah Bernard, 18; Adu Baggeo, 23; Bismark Nyarko, 30; Akwesi Poku George, 18; and Oteng Alfred, 23, who were involved in facilitating the incident in various capacities.

The Police Administration has indicated that it is taking efforts to provide necessary support for the victims.
