Opera is launching its AI browser, named Neon, with a limited number of users able to access it for $19.90 per month, starting today. The Norwegian software company initially introduced the concept of the “agentic browser” in May, but specifics were not widely available at that time.
Opera Neon features various AI agents designed for specific tasks. One agent, referred to as Tasks, serves as a dedicated workspace for particular activities, while another agent, named Do, is responsible for conducting web browsing within the context of a Task. Additionally, users can save prompt instructions for these AI agents using a feature called Cards.
Currently, the rollout is limited to an unspecified number of users, with others needing to join a waitlist for future access.
