This month, OnePlus announced the release of the OnePlus 15, noted for its extensive battery life. However, the anticipated budget model, the OnePlus 15R, was not introduced alongside it. The company has now confirmed that the 15R will be unveiled on December 17th, along with the OnePlus Pad Go 2 and Watch Lite.
The OnePlus 15R and the Pad Go 2 will be available in the US, Europe, and India. In contrast, the Watch Lite will only be released in Europe. It remains uncertain whether the 15R will be available for purchase by American consumers before the year’s end due to delays caused by the FCC, linked to the ongoing government shutdown. Consequently, the release of the OnePlus 15 is also delayed, leading to speculation about the timing of the 15R’s availability afterward.
OnePlus provided limited information regarding the specifics of the 15R, but showcased its color options and durability ratings, which include IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. The Pad Go 2 will support 5G connectivity and will come with an included stylus.
