A train collision with a slurry tanker in southern Denmark has resulted in at least one fatality and multiple injuries. The incident occurred between the towns of Tinglev and Kliplev in southern Jutland, prompting a police response at the scene.
Local news reports indicated that helicopters were dispatched to assist, and officials confirmed that the train struck the slurry tanker at a level crossing. The Danish rail operator, DSB, announced a suspension of services between Tinglev and Sønderborg, which is near the German border.
Emergency response images reveal a train carriage overturned, with bystanders present on the tracks. Authorities stated that there were 95 passengers aboard the train, including students from a school in Sønderborg. Of the injured, two passengers required helicopter transport for their injuries.
