Noida family spends 36 hours in panic as cobra hides inside ceiling light video goes viral

A family in Sector 51 of Noida experienced fear for nearly two days after a cobra entered the false ceiling of their kitchen and coiled around a light fixture. The incident began on September 9, when the Chaudhary family noticed unusual movements in the kitchen ceiling light.

Upon investigation, they discovered a cobra hidden inside the light fixture. A video of the snake was later shared widely on social media.

The family contacted the forest department, which dispatched a snake catcher to the scene. In the meantime, they stayed in the upper rooms of their home and avoided the kitchen, relying on food from outside for two days. Rescue efforts took over 36 hours, involving various methods to safely extract the snake. The team ultimately used a special powder to coax the cobra out from the ceiling.

The successful rescue concluded when the snake was captured and subsequently released at the Okhla Bird Sanctuary. A forest department official confirmed details of the operation, stating, “We worked for over 36 hours before the snake came out. Once it was caught, it was taken to a safe location and released.”

The Chaudhary family expressed relief after the snake was safely removed from their home.
