Nano Banana trend: 5 viral prompts you can try in Google’s Gemini app

Last month, Google launched an AI image editing tool named Nano Banana integrated into its Gemini app. According to Google VP Josh Woodward, the app has surpassed 10 million downloads shortly after its release. More than 200 million images have been generated or modified using Nano Banana, which is designed for faster and more accurate image editing compared to competitors such as ChatGPT and MidJourney. The feature has led to several viral trends as users experiment with various creative prompts.

The tool allows users to create unique image transformations, including turning themselves into action figures, reimagining themselves in different decades, inserting themselves into popular TV shows, appearing in famous artworks, and visiting global landmarks. These prompts have gained particular popularity on social media platforms.

For example, users can ask the AI to create a collectible figurine image of themselves, envision themselves in 1920s clothing, or be placed in scenes from classic shows like “Seinfeld.” Other prompts enable users to merge into renowned paintings such as “Starry Night” by Van Gogh or create realistic images at iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower.
