More Pixel phones are getting Google’s new look for Android

This month, Google announced the rollout of its Material 3 Expressive design language to Pixel 6 devices and newer, as well as the Pixel Tablet. This update brings significant visual changes to the user interface.

Additionally, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 will receive several new features that were previewed during the recent Made by Google event. One notable addition is Adaptive Audio, which adjusts the volume automatically based on the surrounding environment. Another feature dampens sudden loud noises to help protect users’ hearing. The update also enhances background noise reduction while interfacing with Gemini and introduces a gesture-based call management system, allowing users to accept or ignore calls by nodding or shaking their heads.

Google is set to enhance navigation on Pixel Watches and WearOS devices by automatically displaying Maps when users initiate walking or biking directions on their phones. This feature aims to improve accessibility without needing to pull out the phone while navigating.

Beyond Pixel devices, several updates are being rolled out to a wider range of Android devices. These include the ability to share Bluetooth audio with others, access AI-driven writing suggestions in Gboard, and save favorite creations within Emoji Kitchen. Additionally, a redesigned Quick Share menu will provide an easier way to toggle between sending and receiving files, and a new Androidify app will enable users to create personalized Android bots using a selfie and a prompt.

These updates are currently in progress and are expected to continue rolling out over the coming weeks.
