Microsoft’s Copilot AI is now inside Samsung TVs and monitors

Microsoft has announced the integration of its Copilot AI into Samsung’s 2025 lineup of televisions and smart monitors. This feature allows users to engage with Copilot for various tasks such as movie recommendations and spoiler-free episode recaps. The AI will present itself on screen as a “friendly, animated presence,” designed to resemble a character with a playful, animated appearance.

Copilot will be accessible on compatible Samsung TVs, incorporated into the Samsung Tizen operating system, including areas like the home screen, Samsung Daily Plus, and Click to Search. Users can interact with Copilot either through voice commands or by selecting it via the TV remote. To engage with Copilot, users simply need to press the mic button on the remote and begin speaking.

For a more tailored experience, users can sign into the application, which allows Copilot to remember previous interactions and personal preferences. The rollout of this feature is currently underway for Samsung’s 2025 TV models, which include Micro RGB, Neo QLED, OLED, The Frame Pro, and The Frame, as well as the M7, M8, and M9 smart monitors. Moreover, Microsoft has previously indicated plans to extend Copilot’s capabilities to LG TVs in the future.

As smart technology continues to evolve, the integration of AI like Copilot raises questions about its potential impact on user experience and engagement with television content.
