Apple has released iOS 26.2, now available for the iPhone 11 and newer models. This update introduces several new features, including enhanced Lock Screen customizations for adjusting opacity. Users can now utilize AirDrop to share a one-time code with individuals not in their contacts. Additionally, updates for macOS, iPadOS, visionOS, and watchOS have been announced.
The updated Reminders app now includes an “urgent” option that sets an alarm for due tasks. Apple Music will support offline lyrics for downloaded songs and has introduced a Favorite Songs playlist within top Picks. Users in the EU will receive live translation functionality on AirPods, following earlier regulatory delays. The Enhanced Safety Alerts feature is now available in the U.S., providing notifications about imminent threats like floods and natural disasters, along with maps and links for further safety information.
iOS 26.2 also brings an update to Apple Podcasts, which now automatically generates chapters for podcasts in English when creators do not provide them. It features timed links that appear during specific moments in episodes.
In visionOS 26.2, there are fewer new features, but Travel Mode support has been extended to cars and buses. Users can now benefit from hand-drawn content capabilities with devices like the Logitech Music, as well as support for managing virtual reality spreadsheets in Freeform.
iPadOS 26.2 has reinstated the drag-and-drop multi-tasking feature that was removed in the previous update, allowing users to move apps around conveniently. It also includes many updates from iOS 26.2, such as the new Apple Podcasts features and improved Lock Screen customization options.
Lastly, on Apple Watch, watchOS 26.2 includes the Enhanced Safety Alerts feature and modifications to how Sleep Score classifications are handled.
