Anwita’s Skateboarding Journey
Anwita began skateboard training in August 2023 after receiving a used skateboard from her uncle in Dubai. Recognizing her interest in the sport, her parents enrolled her in professional coaching, which lasted for about eight months and involved three different coaches.
Despite her young age, she has achieved significant accolades, including a National Silver Medal in India for 2024, and a Gold and Silver at the 2025 India Skate Ranking Championships. Additionally, she earned Silver medals in Park and Street categories at the 2024 Kerala State Skateboarding Championship, along with a Gold Medal at the UAE Pump Track Championship in Fujairah.
Although Anwita aimed to qualify for the 2028 Olympics, the age requirement of 14 years will prevent her from competing. Her current objectives include winning the national finals in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, this year, followed by a Gold Medal at the upcoming Asian Games at the same location next year.
