Nomad has released a new device called the Tracking Card, designed to assist users in locating misplaced wallets. The Tracking Card can be purchased on Amazon for $23.20, during a promotional event labeled Prime Big Deal Days.
The device measures approximately 1.7mm in thickness, comparable to two standard credit cards stacked together. It is claimed to fit easily into various wallet types, including slim models that typically contain essential cards without adding significant bulk. The card is constructed with a durable polycarbonate body, which reportedly resists damage from routine everyday use.
One of the key features of the Tracking Card is its compatibility with Apple’s Find My network. Users can monitor the card’s location through the Find My app without the need for additional applications or information sharing with third-party services. The card can alert the user when it is out of Bluetooth range, and it can emit a chime within proximity, although the sound is described as not very loud.
However, the Tracking Card does not support Apple’s “Precision Finding” feature, which is available for devices equipped with the U1 chip, such as iPhones and AirTags. This absence means users will not benefit from real-time directional and distance guidance when trying to locate the card, which may complicate the search process if it is lost. The card offers up to five months of battery life and can be recharged wirelessly via Qi or MagSafe-compatible chargers.
