OnePlus has confirmed the global launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15. Shortly after teasing its debut, the company shared detailed photos on Chinese social media platforms, revealing more about its design and features.
The OnePlus 15 will be available in a color option called “sand storm,” in addition to the previously revealed black model shown at a Qualcomm event. There are indications of a potential white variant, as seen in pictures featuring a Chinese esports influencer.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 15 shares similarities with the OnePlus 13T. It features a unique squircle camera island located in one corner, contrasting with the central circular design of other models. Notably, the traditional OnePlus Alert Slider has been replaced with a customizable Plus Key shortcut button. The build details reveal that the sand storm version will have a fiberglass back and a ceramic-coated metal frame, claimed to be more durable than both aluminum and titanium.
From a specifications standpoint, the OnePlus 15 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and will offer a display with a 165Hz refresh rate. While OnePlus has indicated that the phone will be launched in China next month, it remains uncertain when it will become available in the United States. This raises questions about the potential timeline for the global release.
