Starting November 18th, players will be able to access Fortnite through the Xbox on PC app. Currently, the game requires players to launch it via the Epic Games Launcher, but the new option may appeal to those who prefer the Xbox platform.
Additionally, Fortnite will be included in the Xbox Play Anywhere program. This feature allows players to maintain their progress and purchases across various Xbox consoles, PCs, and compatible handheld devices. This could streamline gameplay for those using devices such as the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X.
On the same date, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will receive Epic’s Fortnite Crew subscription as a bonus. This subscription provides monthly benefits, including a new skin, 1,000 V-Bucks, and access to all of Fortnite’s available battle passes. Players can use these to earn in-game items across various modes.
This update marks a significant shift in how Fortnite can be accessed and played, reflecting ongoing developments in gaming services and cross-platform capabilities.
