EcoFlow has introduced its latest battery backup system, the Delta Pro Ultra X, which is positioned as its most powerful and easily installed offering to date. This new system boasts a 60 percent increase in power output over its predecessor, reaching up to 12kW of continuous output and potentially scaling to 36kW when using three inverters in parallel. This capacity enables the Delta Pro Ultra X to power large appliances, including central air conditioning systems, induction ovens, and electric vehicle chargers.
The battery capacity ranges from 12kWh to an extensive 180kWh. The average daily energy consumption for a U.S. household is approximately 29.2kWh, indicating that a fully maxed-out Delta Pro Ultra X could sustain power for an entire home for roughly six days, or longer if only critical devices are powered after the installation of EcoFlow’s electrical panel.
Additionally, the unit integrates with EcoFlow’s third-generation Smart Home Panel, a 200 amp system that can function as either a main panel or subpanel, managing up to 32 circuits. This feature allows users to shut off non-essential loads during power outages and supports Time-of-Use functionality, which optimizes charging and discharging based on current electricity pricing. The Delta Pro Ultra X is also compatible with third-party gas generators, solar panels, and EV chargers.
The system is designed to be modular, enabling users to expand their installation over time or relocate it, making it suitable for varied applications, including RVs or vacation homes. EcoFlow highlights its commitment to convenient installations through a network of approximately 425 certified installers across the U.S., promising installation within a week, with a single day needed for on-site setup.
A Delta Pro Ultra X bundle, which includes the inverter unit and two expansion batteries, is priced at $7,999. Options for including the Smart Home Panel 3 bring the total to $10,899, with the panel available separately for $2,999.
