The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is frequently used for filming due to its ability to capture stabilized video more effectively than a smartphone. This gadget has seen a significant price increase twice within the year, attributed to tariffs. However, a recent sale has lowered the price considerably, making it closer to original levels prior to the tariffs. The Creator Combo version, which includes additional accessories, is currently available for approximately $739 at various retailers, including B&H, Adorama, Best Buy, Walmart, and Micro Center.
The Creator Combo package features useful items such as a mini tripod, a battery handle for timelapse filming, and a wireless lapel microphone, each of which is utilized regularly in filming. The inclusion of a wide-angle lens and a carrying case are also part of this package, although the lens may not provide sufficient width for all applications. While the sale prices are a marked improvement from recent highs, they remain above the original pre-tariff costs, which were $519 for the base model and $669 for the Creator Combo.
In addition, an alternative camera known as the Xtra Muse is available for about $500. This model appears to replicate the capabilities of the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 but lacks support for DJI’s wireless microphones. Despite the brand difference, it is suggested that the Xtra Muse delivers similar high-quality, stabilized footage.
