OpenAI has introduced new features to allow users to adjust the warmth and enthusiasm of ChatGPT’s responses. An update, which began rolling out on Friday, enables users to select between “more,” “less,” or the default level of these personality traits.
In addition to personality adjustments, users can modify the frequency of emoji usage, headers, and lists. These settings are accessible by selecting the menu in the top left corner of the ChatGPT app, going to the user profile, and navigating to the Personalization section, where they can choose “Add Characteristics.” Users can also select different personality types for the AI, such as quirky, professional, friendly, or cynical.
Another feature in this update enhances the email writing process using ChatGPT. Users can now directly edit and format text within the chat interface. Additionally, it is possible to highlight specific sections of text and request targeted modifications, streamlining the interaction with the AI.
These updates aim to provide greater customization for users, allowing for a more tailored experience with ChatGPT.
