Charlie Kirk, a speaker invited by the student group Turning Point USA (TPUSA), was shot at approximately 12:20 PM during his event at Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem. Following the incident, he was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital by his security team.
In response to the shooting, the university campus was evacuated, and classes have been canceled until further notice. Authorities have requested that individuals still on campus remain in place until law enforcement can safely escort them off.
The investigation into the incident is being conducted by multiple agencies, including the Orem Police Department, UVU Police, the FBI, and the Utah Department of Public Safety.
