Residents in Boston facing challenges related to home heating during the winter months can access assistance and information through an upcoming support initiative. The Boston Borough Council has announced that its home energy advice and retrofit team will conduct a “Beat Your Winter Worries” clinic at the Centenary Methodist Church.
Scheduled for Wednesday, November 26, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM GMT, this clinic aligns with National Fuel Poverty Awareness Day. The event aims to provide residents with strategies to enhance home energy efficiency. Attendees will receive advice on staying warm, managing and reducing utility bills, and improving heating systems.
Additionally, the clinic will offer information about available grants and funding options. Various organizations, including Lincs Digital, Good Homes Alliance, Green Doctor, Wellbeing Lincs, CAB Mid Lincs, and Anglian Water, will also be present to support the initiative.
Councillor Claire Rylott emphasized the potential benefits of attending the clinic, suggesting that it could lead to improved warmth in homes and decreased utility expenses. The session is intended for individuals concerned about their heating situation and is positioned as a resource for practical assistance.
Participants are encouraged to consider utilizing the advice and resources that will be available during the event. This initiative reflects a broader effort to address fuel poverty and support residents in making informed decisions about their home energy use.
