Bethesda has introduced a wearable replica of the Pip-Boy 3000, a device featured in both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. The product is currently available for preorder at a price of $299.99, with shipping anticipated to begin in June 2026. Notably, it will not arrive in time for the premiere of Amazon’s Fallout series on December 17, 2025.
The replica is designed based on 3D models from the games to ensure high accuracy. Users can switch between the classic green user interface from Fallout 3 and the yellowish display from New Vegas. Bethesda claims that the device replicates “almost all of the in-game content” from both titles, featuring hundreds of menus navigable via scroll wheels and dials. Additionally, it includes a playable version of the Atomic Command minigame. The screen mimics a vintage cathode-ray tube display, complete with glitches and flickering effects, which can be temporarily resolved by tapping the device due to an integrated accelerometer.
The front casing of the replica is constructed from die-cast metal, while the body is made from injection-molded plastic. It includes a memory foam cuff that can be adjusted with a spacer. Additional features consist of a flashlight, a headphone jack, an alarm clock mode with a display stand, and a functional radiation detector. However, instead of detecting the hazardous radiation from a nuclear explosion, the Pip-Boy 3000 replica gauges radiation from FM radio broadcasts, represented through on-screen meters and simulated Geiger counter sounds.
