Recently, Amazon announced three new Kindle Scribes during its fall hardware event on September 30th. These include the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, a mid-tier black-and-white model, and a basic version without a front light. Each is designed to enhance the reading and writing experience, with the ability to annotate directly on ebook pages. As Black Friday approaches, further discounts on Kindles are anticipated.
Amazon’s Kindle devices offer the option of ad-supported models, which display personalized advertisements on the lock screen but are priced approximately $20 lower than their ad-free counterparts. The latest entry-level Kindle, starting at $109.99, features a 6-inch display and USB-C charging.
Amazon also unveiled an updated Kindle Kids edition, designed for younger readers. Priced at $129.99, it includes a protective case, a two-year warranty, and a subscription to Amazon Kids Plus, which offers access to age-appropriate content.
The 12th-generation Kindle Paperwhite, currently priced from $159.99, comes with a larger display, faster performance, and waterproof capabilities. Bundled options are also available at a discount.
Amazon has introduced the Kindle Scribe, a larger e-reader, which includes a stylus for note-taking. A new Colorsoft model is set to launch in late 2025 or early 2026.
Lastly, Amazon’s first color e-reader, the Kindle Colorsoft, offers a distinctive reading experience and is currently priced at $249.99. A kid-friendly version is also available for $269.99.
