Aukey has introduced a new modular charging solution named the MagFusion Ark. This system features a base station equipped with up to three Qi2.2 charging pads and spherical power banks, each aligned with Qi2.2 standards. The spheres are capable of passthrough charging, enabling them to wirelessly charge another device while docked on the base station. Furthermore, they can be detached for standalone use, operating on a 6,700mAh battery or via a USB-C connection.
Details regarding pricing are expected to be released closer to the MagFusion Ark’s launch, which is slated for the first quarter of 2026. The product will be offered in three configurations: a bundle that includes a base with three charging pads and three spheres, as well as one- and two-pad bases with spheres available separately. The Ark is designed to be fully Qi2.2-compatible, with both the base and spheres capable of wirelessly charging Qi2.2 devices at rates up to 25W.
The number of complete charges a sphere can provide to a smartphone depends on the capacity and health of the phone’s battery. However, users can likely expect to achieve at least one full charge, considering that the battery also powers an integrated cooling fan.
Each sphere also contains a 30W USB-C port, allowing for higher efficiency by bypassing wireless charging, charging non-Qi2 devices, or functioning as a charging stand when plugged in. Users can charge two devices simultaneously from each sphere, with output rates reducing to 15W for wireless charging and 20W for the USB-C port.
Although Aukey indicates that the MagFusion Ark has a total of six charging points, only three devices can be wirelessly charged on the base at any given time, not including the spheres. When the spheres are used independently, they free up the base’s pads for other devices. While the base has a relatively large footprint, the portability of the spherical chargers may compensate for this limitation.
