Apple TV is getting MLS games at no extra cost

Beginning with the 2026 Major League Soccer (MLS) season, all MLS matches will be accessible to Apple TV subscribers without any additional cost, as announced by Apple and MLS. Currently, since the start of the 2023 MLS season, access to streaming MLS games required a separate MLS Season Pass subscription, which was available independently or at a discounted rate for existing Apple TV subscribers. The upcoming change aligns MLS streaming with Apple’s previous approach to Formula 1 content for its subscribers.

According to Apple’s press release, from next season, Apple TV subscribers will be able to view every regular-season match, along with the Leagues Cup tournament, MLS All-Star Game, Campeones Cup, Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, and other events at no extra charge. The current standalone MLS Season Pass will be phased out, concluding at the end of the 2025 season.

This announcement comes after reports emerged indicating that changes to the MLS streaming model were being planned. The specifics of these changes highlight a significant transition in how MLS content will be delivered to viewers.
