Anker’s fastest airline-friendly power bank is now available

The Prime Power Bank has a capacity of 26,250mAh, translating to 99.75Wh at 3.8V, making it compliant with TSA guidelines for carry-on luggage that restrict power banks to under 100 watt-hours. It includes two USB-C ports capable of simultaneously providing up to 140W of power, allowing the charging of two laptops, including high-demand models like the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Additionally, it offers a total power output of 300W, which means users can also charge a smartphone at 20W through an additional USB-A port while charging laptops.

The USB-C ports are bi-directional, and when both are connected to 140W USB-C PD 3.1 chargers, the Prime Power Bank can charge itself at up to 250W, reaching 80 percent capacity from a dead state in approximately 35 minutes, according to the manufacturer, Anker. Users can monitor the power input and output via a built-in display or Anker’s mobile app when connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth.

In comparison, EcoFlow’s Rapid Pro Power Bank, priced at $179.99, offers slightly higher capacity at 27,650mAh. This model can charge faster when connected to dual 140W USB-C PD 3.1 chargers and features a built-in retractable USB-C cable. However, it is heavier at 699 grams compared to Anker’s Prime Power Bank, which weighs 600 grams. This may be a consideration for users prioritizing portability.

Additionally, Anker has released the Anker Prime Charger, available online and on Amazon, priced at $149.99 (currently discounted to $120). It features three USB-C ports that can each output up to 140W, though its total output is limited to 210W. Power usage is also monitored via a small built-in display or Anker’s mobile app.
