A 113-year-old church in Kiruna, Sweden, has been relocated to a new site following a two-day move. The church was transported approximately 5 kilometers (3 miles) using specialized trailers, with aerial footage capturing the process. During the relocation, road infrastructure, such as lamp posts and signs, was removed to accommodate the church’s journey, which proceeded at a maximum speed of 500 meters per hour.
The move was necessitated by concerns regarding ground subsidence caused by over a century of iron ore mining activities in the original city center of Kiruna.
