Abxylute will actually sell Intel and Tencent’s gigantic glasses-free 3D handheld

In January, Intel showcased a prototype at CES featuring a handheld gaming PC named the Sunday Dragon 3D One. This device includes an 11-inch autostereoscopic 3D display, detachable controllers, and runs on an Intel Lunar Lake chip. It has a dedicated toggle for switching between 2D and 3D modes. Co-developed by Intel and Tencent Games, the product is now set for release by Abxylute under the name Abxylute 3D One.

Set to launch in late September or early October, the pricing is expected to be below $1,700, according to marketing head Eunice Lu. Abxylute is primarily rebranding the original prototype while ensuring that the final version won’t carry the “Sunday Dragon 3D One” label. The device will feature Tencent’s eye-tracking technology, developed in collaboration with Intel and BOE, for its 3D display.

An integral part of the device’s functionality is an accompanying Tencent app that can modify 2D media to exhibit 3D depth through real-time processing. It is optimized for 50 popular Steam titles, including games like Black Myth: Wukong, Naraka Bladepoint, and Hogwarts Legacy. Notably, the latest model includes twin touchpads on its detachable grips, along with Hall effect joysticks and triggers designed for stability and precision.

Differentiating itself from smaller competitors, the Abxylute 3D One is a larger convertible device. Its 10.95-inch display offers a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and operates in both 60Hz and 120Hz modes—differentiated from competitors by the absence of a variable refresh rate. Despite this, it only has a 50 watt-hour battery capacity, smaller than some rival devices.

The larger screen is a deliberate choice to enhance the naked-eye 3D effect, accommodating user experience without the limitations of smaller panels. Given its innovative features, it raises questions about its market viability among gaming enthusiasts and creators seeking specialized 3D capabilities.
