Polanski also addressed migration policies, stating that the economic system poses a greater threat than newcomers arriving by small boats. He reiterated the party’s stance on creating safe and legal routes for migration. Further, he acknowledged his family’s history of migration and expressed solidarity with communities facing recent attacks.
Under Polanski’s leadership, the Green Party has seen a membership increase of 20% and has captured significant local council seats. He has also indicated an openness to collaborating with other progressive factions that aim to challenge the current political climate.
