Starting October 3, 2025, the prices of the Xbox Series X and Series S will increase in the United States. Consumers have until tomorrow to purchase the Xbox Series S, with the 512GB model priced at $379.99, currently discounted to $329.99 on Amazon, and the 1TB model at $429.99. After the price increase, both models will each rise by $20. Additionally, the Xbox Series X Digital Edition is available for $549.99, while the standard 1TB model is priced at $599.99; both will see a $50 increase. The Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition is also up for grabs at $799.99, set to increase by $70.
For potential buyers, a comparison of the consoles reveals that the Xbox Series X offers greater performance with native 4K support and 1TB of built-in storage. In contrast, the Series S focuses on 1440p gaming and comes with 512GB of storage. Notably, the Series S and the Series X Digital Edition do not include optical drives, meaning they support only digital games.
Despite these differences, both consoles are compatible with the same game library and support Xbox Game Pass, providing access to an extensive collection of titles, including games like Hogwarts Legacy, various Assassin’s Creed titles, Hades, Cities: Skylines – Remastered, and Stardew Valley.
