Lola Young, a 24-year-old singer, recently reassured her fans that she is “doing OK now” after collapsing on stage during her performance at the All Things Go Festival in New York. As she was singing, she dropped her microphone and fell backwards, prompting immediate concern from both the audience and fellow performers.
In a statement shared on social media, Young thanked her supporters for their messages of encouragement. “Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now,” she wrote on Instagram. Earlier in her performance, she had mentioned experiencing a “tricky couple of days” due to a “sensitive matter,” suggesting that her physical distress might have been related to personal challenges.
Videos circulating online show Young appearing uncomfortable before her fall, which has raised questions about her health and readiness to perform. Notably, she had canceled a prior performance at New Jersey’s Prudential Centre the day before. After her incident on stage, rapper Doechii expressed support for Young, encouraging the crowd to shout, “we love you Lola,” and noted that Young wasn’t feeling well during her set.
Lola Young, a graduate of the Brit School for Performing Arts and Technology, gained recognition after her 2024 single “Messy” topped charts in multiple countries. She recently performed at London Fashion Week. As of now, no further performances have been canceled following the incident on Saturday. The circumstances surrounding her collapse and her health status remain a topic of concern among fans.
