Billionaire Elon Musk and Prince Andrew are mentioned in recently released documents connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted for sexual offenses. These files, provided to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee by the Jeffrey Epstein Estate, indicate that Musk received an invitation to Epstein’s island in December 2014. Additionally, a flight manifest from May 2000 identifies Prince Andrew among various passengers traveling from New Jersey to Florida.
Both Musk and Prince Andrew have been approached for comment regarding these claims. While Prince Andrew has previously denied any wrongdoing, Musk has stated that he was invited to the island by Epstein but chose not to attend. These documents are part of the third batch released by the Epstein Estate and reportedly include phone logs, flight manifests, financial records, and Epstein’s daily schedule.
Notably, other prominent individuals named in the documents include internet entrepreneur Peter Thiel and Steve Bannon, a former advisor to Donald Trump. One specific entry dated December 6, 2014, raises the question of Musk’s planned visit: “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?)”. Furthermore, a flight manifest shows Prince Andrew aboard a flight with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell on December 5, 2000. Maxwell was later convicted for her role in Epstein’s criminal activities.
The released files also cite planned meetings with Thiel and Bannon, though it is important to note that the documents do not imply any of those mentioned were aware of the illegal activities for which Epstein faced charges. Epstein was found dead in a New York jail in August 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking. He had previously reached a plea deal in 2008 after being accused of molesting a minor. In response to the new documents, a spokesperson for the Democratic committee has called for further disclosures about Epstein’s connections.
