Zayn Malik announces Las Vegas residency for 2026

Zayn Malik has declared a week-long residency in Las Vegas scheduled for January. This marks his second solo tour since departing from One Direction, following his performances during the “Stairway to the Sky” shows last year. The residency will take place at the Dolby Live venue located in the Park MGM Hotel.

Previously, several high-profile artists such as Adele, Bruno Mars, and Lady Gaga have held residencies in Las Vegas. While Zayn’s residency spans a shorter duration compared to those of other artists, some fans speculate that this could signal a larger return to music for him.

Recently, Malik was seen in the US alongside former bandmate Louis Tomlinson, which prompted speculation among fans about a potential collaboration or new music from the duo. Their public appearance marked a rare moment since One Direction’s hiatus in 2015, with the last occasion being at the funeral of another bandmate, Liam Payne, the previous year.

Additionally, Zayn released a new song titled “Break Free” this week to coincide with the launch of the video game “Borderlands 4.” Identifying as a lifelong gamer, he mentioned in an interview that when not engaged in music or spending time with his daughter, he enjoys gaming with friends in the UK.

The announcement of the Vegas residency was unexpected for some followers, considering Zayn has previously discussed challenges related to live performances. In 2016, he withdrew from the Capital Summertime Ball due to anxiety and has since spoken about overcoming such feelings, particularly after the birth of his daughter. Tickets for the residency will be available for general purchase starting this Friday.
