Meta recently showcased its advancements in wearable technology, including updates on virtual and augmented reality, during its annual Connect keynote event. A significant highlight was the introduction of the Meta Ray-Ban Display smart glasses, which features a high-resolution display embedded in the right lens. Users can access messages, engage in video calls, and receive navigation assistance through the glasses, which are controlled via a wristband.

The Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses are priced starting at $799. They are expected to have a battery life of around six hours for mixed use and can extend up to 30 hours when utilizing a collapsible charging case. The glasses will be available in both black and brown colors at retailers such as Best Buy and LensCrafters starting September 30th.

In addition, Meta unveiled a new generation of Ray-Ban smart glasses, which now include an increased battery life of up to eight hours and support for 3K video recording. These glasses are priced at $379 and will be available in various styles shortly.

Moreover, Meta is collaborating with Oakley to introduce the Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses, designed for high-intensity sports with a focus on fitness integration and durability features. These glasses incorporate a 12MP camera capable of 3K video recording and are priced at $499, set to launch on October 21st.

Meta also announced updates to its virtual reality offerings, including the new Hyperscape feature for Quest headsets, which allows users to digitize their physical surroundings. Additionally, Meta is enhancing its Horizon TV entertainment hub by integrating popular streaming services, such as Disney Plus and Hulu, along with Dolby Atmos support for immersive audio experiences.
