Logitech has announced its upcoming flagship wireless gaming mouse, the Pro X2 Superstrike, which is set to be released early next year with a retail price of $179.99. This new model departs from traditional mechanical switches, featuring instead an analog system known as the Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS). This system allows for a brief 0.6mm travel distance per main button, purportedly enabling faster clicking with a reduction in latency by up to 30 milliseconds. Additionally, the mouse includes ten customizable actuation points and support for rapid triggering, a feature previously found primarily in gaming keyboards.
The rapid trigger function allows the sensor to reset when the button is slightly lifted, facilitating quicker subsequent inputs with minimal force. Users can set five rapid trigger reset points via the G Hub software, offering precise control over the analog sensor’s response. Weighing in at 65 grams, the Pro X2 Superstrike is equipped with Logitech’s Hero 2 sensor, which is also utilized in the current series of Pro X wireless gaming mice. This model supports a wireless polling rate of up to 8,000Hz through its provided Lightspeed USB-A dongle, although this feature is accessible only through G Hub software.
Logitech is also introducing the Superlight 2C, a compact variant of the Superlight 2 mouse. This newer model is 10 percent lighter, at 51 grams, and five percent smaller, potentially appealing to gamers who prefer a more compact design. Aside from its size and shape, the specifications of the Superlight 2C remain similar to those of the Superlight 2, with a launch date set for October 21st at a price of $159.99.
