Elon Musk recently called for a “dissolution of parliament” and a “change of government” in the UK during a rally in London organized by far-right activist Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, also known as Tommy Robinson. Speaking via video link, Musk addressed the crowd of thousands, expressing concerns about what he referred to as a “woke mind virus” and warning that “violence is coming,” urging attendees to either “fight back or die.”
Musk stated, “I really think that there’s got to be a change of government in Britain. You can’t – we don’t have another four years, or whenever the next election is, it’s too long.” He added that there must be a new vote held soon, highlighting a sense of urgency regarding the political climate in the UK.
This marks Musk’s continued engagement in British political discourse, following past criticisms of the UK government and legislation such as the Online Safety Act. He has previously expressed support for Nigel Farage and engaged in disputes regarding political affiliations and support for various groups.
Musk appealed to those typically uninvolved in politics, emphasizing that if the current situation continues, they could face violence directly. He claimed that regardless of personal choices, violence would affect everyone, stating, “Whether you choose violence or not, violence is coming to you.”
Estimates suggest that over 110,000 people participated in this rally, marking it as one of the largest nationalist demonstrations in recent history, met with approximately 5,000 anti-racist counter-protesters. Other prominent figures, including Katie Hopkins and French politician Éric Zemmour, also spoke at the event.
