Five killed in Jerusalem shooting attack, paramedics say

Five individuals were killed and seven others sustained serious injuries following a shooting attack by Palestinian gunmen in Jerusalem, according to reports from paramedics and police. The Israeli Magen David Adom ambulance service identified the deceased victims as three men in their 30s, one woman in her 50s, and one man in his 50s. Nine people with gunshot wounds were transported to local hospitals, along with three additional individuals who were injured by broken glass.

Israeli police reported that two individuals labeled as “terrorists” opened fire at a bus stop located at Ramot Junction, situated on the northern outskirts of the city. In response, a security officer and a civilian returned fire and “neutralized” the attackers, as stated by police officials.

At the time of reporting, no immediate claims of responsibility had emerged from any armed groups; however, Hamas did express praise for the incident.
