Anthropic is now valued at $183 billion

Anthropic, an artificial intelligence startup and a competitor to OpenAI, recently announced the successful completion of a funding round totaling $1.3 billion, which brings its post-money valuation to $18.3 billion. The company reported that its run-rate revenue increased significantly, rising from approximately $1 billion at the beginning of 2025 to over $5 billion by August of the same year. Anthropic also mentioned that it has acquired more than 300,000 business customers and that its number of “large accounts,” defined as those generating over $100,000 in run-rate revenue, has increased sevenfold in the past year.

One of Anthropic’s notable products, Claude Code, has contributed over $500 million in run-rate revenue. The company indicated that usage of Claude Code grew by more than tenfold within three months following its full launch. The latest funding round, designated as Series F, was led by ICONIQ, Fidelity Management & Research Company, and Lightspeed Venture Partners. Other investors in this round included the Qatar Investment Authority, TPG, Altimeter, Blackstone, and General Catalyst.

Anthropic stated that it will utilize the newly acquired funds to address growing demand from enterprises, enhance safety research initiatives, and facilitate international expansion. This development comes amidst increasing interest in AI applications across various sectors.
