EcoFlow’s Rapid power bank is the fastest yet

EcoFlow has introduced its new Rapid Pro Power Bank and Rapid Pro Desktop Charger in the U.S., capable of charging a 99Wh (27,650mAh) power bank from zero to 80% in about 20 minutes. The power bank retails for $179.99 or €169.99, while the desktop charger is priced at $199.99 or €159.99. The Rapid Pro Power Bank can accept a high charge of 320W via a proprietary pogo-pin connector and can simultaneously charge two high-power devices at up to 140W each via USB-C.

Users can monitor charging progress via the EcoFlow app using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, making it convenient to ensure the power bank is charged before departure. The power bank features a built-in retractable USB-C cable that supports 140W charging. Combined with the desktop charger, there are nine USB ports available, offering a total output of 600W to power various devices.

Despite its advanced features, the power bank is noted for being bulky compared to smaller models on the market. Testing has shown that the battery can achieve a maximum charge of 320.5W under optimal conditions, while other scenarios yielded lower charging speeds. The power bank is designed to charge two devices simultaneously but does experience a drop in charging rate as the battery fills.

Both devices are built solidly, though some users have reported that the display is difficult to read in bright conditions. The Rapid Pro Power Bank is marketed for its fast charging capability and overall efficiency, but it is more expensive than competitors like Anker’s Prime Power Bank, which offers lower charging capabilities.

The collaboration of the two devices makes them appealing for users needing portable power solutions, particularly for travel and demanding usage scenarios.
