Adobe has announced the launch of a new platform called Acrobat Studio, designed to integrate the PDF application with Adobe Express and AI assistants for enhanced productivity. Users can upload up to 100 documents into a centralized workspace, with the goal of transforming Acrobat from a simple PDF tool into a comprehensive platform that accommodates a variety of file types, including web pages and Microsoft 365 content.
Acrobat Studio features collaborative environments termed “PDF Spaces,” where users can manage and edit multiple documents simultaneously without leaving the application. This functionality also includes features for viewing and signing agreements, collating research, and using built-in tools to create visual assets like infographics, which can be shared with colleagues and clients.
In addition to document management, Acrobat Studio introduces customizable AI agents that build on previous AI capabilities in Adobe’s standard Acrobat software. These AI assistants offer insights, generate recommendations and notes, and can create ideas and citations based on the combined data from various files.
The platform is being made available globally in English, providing users with unlimited access to PDF Spaces, AI assistants, and Adobe Express Premium. Acrobat Studio is positioned as a separate subscription service, designed to potentially replace Adobe’s existing Acrobat Standard and Acrobat Pro plans. Early access subscription pricing starts at $24.99 per month for individual users and $29.99 per month for teams, based on annual commitments. However, it remains unclear how this pricing will adjust after the early access period, which is set to conclude on October 31.
