Google is now re-integrated with Movies Anywhere, allowing users to access movies purchased from Google Play and YouTube within their Movies Anywhere collection. Previously, films from these platforms were unavailable on Movies Anywhere as of October 31st, but the connection has since been restored.
According to a support page from Movies Anywhere, “Support for Google as a digital retailer has been re-enabled.” Users are advised to reconnect their Google accounts to restore their movie purchases from Google to their collection, a process described as taking only a minute.
Users may have received emails from Movies Anywhere regarding this reinstatement, featuring a prominent button for reconnecting their Google accounts. Additionally, Google Play and YouTube are listed on a webpage detailing the retailers currently participating in the Movies Anywhere program.
Neither Google nor Disney, which operates Movies Anywhere, has provided immediate comments on the matter.
